Three More Flights Cleared Through Yangon International Airport

These relief materials included 3,400 mosquito nets; 5,400 plastic sheets; 100 heavy duty plastic tarpaulins; 5,400 jerry cans; and various other items from children’s educational kits, water-filters and solar lanterns and specialized candles for lighting in the Delta

An 18 foot Inflatable Pontoon Boat with 40 hp outboard motor by Mark Marshall
Mark Marshall, who flow over to Myanmar from Canada to join the Cape Negrais Cyclone Relief operation Team, donated the above inflatable pontoon boat which he imported from Phuket, Thailand by ship – Yangon, 23rd May 2008

At 5.5 metres long, this inflatable rubber boat has a fibre-glass floor, and a passenger capacity of 20 persons. Powered by a 40 hp Yamaha outboard motor, Mark Marshall’s $15,000 donation will be ideal for navigation the narrow waterways of the Delta. Capable of speeds from 35 to 40 knots, this boat will be used for accessing outlying villages in the Delta, and getting emergency cases from these areas to one of the six bases we are establishing in our area.
